Randon 5 Friday

Another week gone by...Joining Nancy at

1.  The weather has been up and down.... rainy, windy, sunny....The south part of our province has had an abundance of rain and the rivers are overflowing!!

2. I have t-shirts that get holes in the front of them.... for no reason? I would like to know what causes this??

3, Had my eyes checked this week... I know eye health is VERY important...but sometimes I think when the prescription changes just a little...it's a money racket to get new glasses if your old ones are working fine.

4. It has been 9 months since I have ran...started running again and it feels so good to be at it again!

5.Today is the longest day this year...The sun rose this morning at 5:04 AM...will set at 10:07 PM...tomorrow it won't rise until 5:05 AM...the days will start getting shorter....So I'm going to enjoy TODAY!

Happy weekend!!

  3. The part about new glasses I dislike is the 'you buy two you get one free' I even tried to buy one pair because I had lost mine, didn't need two or another pair of sunglasses but the Optical store insisted I get two- long story that still makes me groan. Anything I wear gets stains-for the holes could be the washer and drier?

  4. Yay for you and the running. I remember how good I felt when I did.

My t-shirts get looking pretty bad -- I'm always catching them on some type of wire or another.

Thanks for joining in Bev. Always a pleasure to learn more about you!

  7. I try not to think about the shorter days creeping up on us after today - I really love the long evening twilight.

My eyeglass prescription changed slightly, too. The $500 for new lens (not the frame) made me cranky.

Could your shirts be catching on something in your washer which is causing the holes?

  8. Happy Summer Solstice. I've had cataracts removed in both of my eye and am getting used the *new* eyes. I have kitties and Mina is always putting holes in my T-shirts -- she gets a nail caught and that's it! Send some of the rain here! Have a great week

  11. Good for you for the running! I hope to get back to it as my foot heals more.

I need to have my eyes checked, too. I wear the cheap reading glasses, but I think my long-distance vision is getting a little worse.

  14. Good for you on running. I've worn contact lenses for years, and my prescription hasn't changed much. I made the most of this long day. Hard to think the days will be shorter now.

  16. Love that stair photo! My eye dr always says if I only have a minor change it's fine to wait. Keep up the running!
