The weather outside....

Was the type of weather you always want for Christmas....

it snowed and snowed and snowed...again...

It was perfect for what the GK's called our 'Fake' CHRISTmas....
We won't be home in December so it was the weekend our family all came home for Christmas....
It was a perfect time...

We had little fibbers...

And big Fibbers....

I never got a picture of the turkey dinner...

But the second day...we had....

Five in our family will celebrate birthdays while we are gone... so we ate and ate some more!

 (One had a hockey game...so he missed his party!)

It was the perfect Christmas Weekend!!

The week ends....

We spent some time down at the grands....and with Miss Marbles...

She enjoys watching the world go by...

Grand #5 and I spend some time knitting together... I'm sure she will surpass my skills of knitting...

Just down the hill is the river valley......I saw this guy...before Marbles did...

1. It's been eleven days... since I have sat down at my computer...when life get hectic...the computer gets dusty...

2. I have been busy and feeling exhausted ..posting ideas leave me....and it is hard to get back into it! At times like this I wonder...why I really have a blog... do you feel like that...and what do you do to get it going again?

3. It was was Grandson Two birthday last week. Fifteen years old!!

4. I keep forgetting to take pictures.. BUT.... my granddaughter took my camera and took some GREAT pictures..... I will be posting some that she took...here is a peak  preview...

5. Yesterday my girlfriend and I took our granddaughters to the zoo... It was about 33 years ago the first time I went to this zoo.... with this girlfriend. We had our little boys the fathers of these girls!!
Yesterday was a  wonderful day and I just love this friend...who is such a wonderful friend after all these years...

Weekend Visit

It's so nice to have family visit!

It's wonderful to see the grandkids...

The food here is always delicious!!

Had breakfast under a lemon tree!!

It was a short...sweet visit!!!

39 Years

Do you remember when your parents celebrated milestone wedding anniversaries? 

I remember mom and dad's 25th anniversary...

I was 11 and I thought they had been married forever! 

I remember their 40th anniversary...they were SO old!!! 

It's not a milestone year...

but it is 39 years for Hubby and Me...

I don't know what happened...

but I don't feel much older than I did 39 years ago.

So I'm thinking... mom and dad were actually young back then:)

Funny how our perspectives change!

well it probably won't be 39 more years...

but whatever years we are given!

Fall Frolic

Years ago we started getting together with the kids...

We had Valentine Parties, Spring Parties, Christmas Parties, Quilting Parties

any kind of a party to get together moms, gramms and the kids! 

Time passes, kids grow and we don't get together as often...

but this past week we had a fall craft day and what fun we had!

There use to be more kids...

and littler kids....

but the kids left had loads of fun!

Rooms were filled with crafts to do...

There was a feast...

No get together is complete without food!

A few of the completed crafts ....

Give thanks for children, 

grandkids, 

and all the memories of time spent together!

Fun - Run

The day was bright and warm...

6 of us had signed up for the Marathon. . .

And they are off....

 Three ran 10 km...

Three ran 5 KM

 The bottomline was it was fun . . .
 Some conquered their first 10 KM...
 Some ran their best 5 KM...

What fun running with your grandkids...

who you can't even begin to keep up with!

This weekend we travelled beside the Trans Canada Highway -

Biked close to 50 km and enjoyed the beautiful mountain scenery...

Days spend like this are ....

"Priceless"

Lots of Water Under the ...Restaurant...

It was the fall of 1973 and we were celebrating our First Wedding Anniversary. 

We visited Coeur d'Alene Id. and went to a Floating Restaurant for supper.

Thirty Eight plus- years later we were passing thru and stopped for the night at a RV park...

and what did we see. . .  a Floating Restaurant...the one we had visited in 1973 right beside the RV Park!

I remember 1973... I was 6 months pregnant. Hubby called this restaurant...got off the phone and said...

I don't know if we should eat there. They serve Frogs??? 

Well it ended up it was Prawns... We had never heard of 'prawns' before!!

A lot has happened in the last 38 years...but it was fun to visit the restaurant after all these years...

A wonderful evening started our holidays!
