Chess...Sets

Some of you may remember the Chess Set hubby hand carved a few years back.

His goal was to make one for each of our children’s oldest child. He set his goal for his 70th Birthday... Goal was completed his 70th year:)

All three sets are done. He now wants to make boxes to attach to the playing board to hold the chessmen.
He hasn’t set a goal for the completion of them ...

In the shop

Soon we are heading south...hubby decided to get a project ready to do while we are gone...
Using two types of wood....  Jelutong and Afrormosia ...he made a "Chess Board"
Cut out 'pieces' using the two types of wood.
Has his carving set ready... and all packed...

He will carve the men this winter!!

The year was 1991.... Hubby and our youngest built a project together...

Twenty plus years later...the project is still hanging around.
And being used!

Youngest is now a woodworker...
He and a friend are  building a row boat!
It will be great to see it finished!!

Benches

Last summer we pasted this coffee shop.
And I tried to get pictures of these benches..

But people were sitting on them.
The other day I past by...and got my pictures..
Our son is a woodworker.
He loves to design and build projects.
He designed and built these benches a couple years ago.
There are a few restaurants in Downtown Edmonton
where his benches reside.

National Puppy Day

Miss Pepper…..she changed our life… But life wouldn’t be as full without her! She is a kind sweet puppy that always ‘try’s😳’ to please.
