Quilt Tops

The squares and fabric I brought down is getting slim. I ran out of white for my 'Postage Stamp' so it's smaller than I wanted.

I had strips to use...

I think I can scrape one more top out of the 'scraps' I brought. 

The borders, pressing and quilting will be completed when I return home.

Crafts on the go - continued....

I finished all my 9 patch squares ...I decided against doing a disappearing 9 patch....

The top is done...and will be quilted when I return home.

The cape I was doing...was almost done...but I wasn't happy with it...so I pulled it apart and found an actual pattern...

We will see how this progresses...

I have started my my Grands Christmas Ornaments for 2017... One done and the second close to being done...

Crafts on the go..

 On our travels I worked on a dishcloth I had started at home....

I brought some 'scraps' from 'Quilt for Kids' and was excited to pull out my machine and get started on them. It is nice to have the cutting done as my space is limited here! I'm anxious to see what this scrappy quilt will look like!

There is a mix mash of squares... I divided them into dark and light colours.

I am planning on doing a 'Disappearing 9 patch.... hoping it comes together with the squares I have....

Years ago I saw a cape a lady made... have searched for the pattern...but finally decided to try it on my own...at the time I thought how easy it was... so I found some chunky yarn....

I enjoy having 'projects' on the go here....it is the best time for me to work on a variety of things!

Craft Table empty...

The PJ's are done!

My second Quilt for Kids quilt top is done...

Okay....the pattern did not turn out the way the instructions said... I'll be honest... I have to be shown how to do things...reading how to do them...just doesn't work for me...BUT it's done...I don't think anyone will notice?? After I finished it ... I woke up the next morning and realized what I was suppose to do....so maybe I need to sleep on the instructions after I read them...before I do it:)

Quilts for Kids

I finally got around to joining a quilting club in town. I joined  one where you make quilts for children that are sent to hospitals all across Canada for sick children. I have quilted...a bit, but compared to the ladies in the group I feel like a real novice!

I picked out my pattern and fabric.

 The pattern is called Mahjongg.....an easy one!

The quilt was made in rows...

It was fun to see how it all went together.

The top is done and I  have the batting and backing together...
I am going to attempt to machine quilt it... 

I'm a bit nervous...but we will see how it goes!
