This and That on the Ship...

I just couldn't resist...I have a few more pictures that I took on the ship I want to share...

I love the fresh flowers they have on the ship...

Chocolate Late Buffet...they start 15 minutes early...just for pictures! That swan is an ice carving.

If you get so relaxed...(watching the rain..)

And forget what day it is...just check the elevator floor....

It will tell you the day of the week...

Gorgeous outside views...

And...maybe they still make people walk the plank?

 Ice cream again, and a cookie?? Are your buttons starting to pop??

Oh well, we'll just roll off the ship!

Victoria...last port

Victoria British Columbia was our last port on our Alaska trip.  It is the capital of BC.

The flowers in Victoria are wonderful!

 On our walk around the city we came to Fisherman Wharf and found this 'Water Town'. 

Floating houses! How cool would that be to live in one of thoses??!! 

Life is just to short. I would love to live in a place like this.

 Just get out the kayak to go down your front street!!

Last to time to board the ship... and the following morning .....

We arrived in Seattle ...

And said farewell to our time aboard..

Glacier

We travelled up the Endicott Fjord. Going up the Fjord to the Dawes Glacier, there are many waterfalls.

The closer you get to the Glacier the more icebergs you see floating in the water. I lost all my Glacier pictures so don't have a close up of an Ice berg...

We heard and saw the glacier calving... It was a huge hunk of ice and caused quite a wave. Some waves can be large enough to capsize a canoe!

It is a peaceful and beautiful trip!

Alaska

I lost all my pictures I took the first 5 days of our trip. I was so disappointed..but hubby had some pictures so the following are his pictures.

The first place we visited was Sitka, Alaska. 

It is known as Alaska's Little Russia. 

What I love about Sitka is all the little islands you see as you approach Sitka.

 St. Michael's Cathedral was built in 1844. It is one of the few places that look Russian in the town.

Juneau Alaska is the capital of Alaska. 

The following are now my pictures...

Ketchikan was the last city in Alaska that we visited. 

All 3 places greeted us with clouds and rain.

 One thing I found that these places had in common were the colourful buildings. 

Maybe it is because most days are dreary and wet so paint brightens the town?

These cities are built on hillsides. 

The only way to access them is by sea or air. 

Alaska is rich in history, gold, fishing, logging, wild life!
