Poppyseed Bread...

When I go to markets... I see the poppyseed bread and always want a loaf...
Well I decided to try to make it. So I looked on the internet and found myself a recipe....

Orange zest... yummm... I never use to like it but now love zested oranges (and lemons!)

Recipes often call for instant yeast...but no matter what the recipe calls for I still like the regular yeast that you have to let rise.....just seems to work better for me...

 I love my Bosch... it takes all the 'work' out of making bread!!

Some of the recipes called for canned poppy seed filling...some gave you a recipe to make your own...and you were to grind the poppyseeds...the recipe I found said just to use poppyseeds in the filling recipe...(This was sooo yummy!)

It turned out yummy.... Better than the ones I have bought at markets...but I think I will try a few more recipes before settling on the one I love!

My project...

I have been wanting to get rid of this table that was in our trailer when we bought it.. it's one of those things that I haven't gotten around to....so we have been using it for our coffee table.

I mentioned that I needed to replace it to middler when she was here...

and the comment I got was...'get rid of it' you can paint it'.

(On a side note....some may like to paint... I DO NOT like to paint!)

Now.... I never took a picture of this table ...before I started the project...

but here is the table in one of my old pictures from a year and a half ago.

So I was given some ideas.....regarding the table....and

 I primed and I painted it...

Middler drew a design for me and showed me what to do...
Well... I don't have much patience for painting... I just want it done ...so considering that...

Well it turned out.... hmm okay I guess...

 I know longer feel the need to replace  it so I guess it worked...

Thankful Tuesday...

Thankful for hubby my best friend...he celebrates his birthday today..we are not together for his birthday...the first time in our 40 years together...but is not the day that counts...every day we are together is what counts.

Swap Meet Finds

Yuma has it's share of markets! The swap meet is a market where you can find all sorts of 'stuff'...new stuff and old stuff.

Well personally I would of never thought of even looking at these signs...let alone buying them.

But when you enjoy making signs... and you can get all this wood...and a framed piece to boot... for $4.00, apparently you buy it...

 I had wanted a sign by my hummingbird feeder... and look at this!

 It didn't take long for patrons to come... don't know if you can see it...but the wasps came too.
