Winter's Day.....?

It was a beautiful day... 

After a two hour ski...

We lit the fire...

And roasted wieners....

The deck was warm ...

 It was a wonderful way to spend a winter day..... 

But isn't it still fall??

Now that it is winter.... and the sun rises more in the south

We can watch the Sun rise in our Backyard...

Inspired Sunday

Fifty years ago I'm sure this church settling looked different.
That was when hubby attended this church with his Grandma and Aunt when he visited the city...

The City has grown up around it and it is almost hidden away among the highrises...

The last Moon.....

I love the evenings when the moon is out....

 We've enjoyed being out skiing under the light of the moon...

This is an extra special moon to me.....

It's the last moon that I will spend in the snow this winter....

I'll be under Palm trees when the next few moons come along....

Adventures in My Backyard...

We can play in our back yard...tracking our course for the first time in the deep snow is no easy feat...

But well worth the work!!

 

Shadow's are lengthening...time to head home.

The weather outside....

Was the type of weather you always want for Christmas....

it snowed and snowed and snowed...again...

It was perfect for what the GK's called our 'Fake' CHRISTmas....
We won't be home in December so it was the weekend our family all came home for Christmas....
It was a perfect time...

We had little fibbers...

And big Fibbers....

I never got a picture of the turkey dinner...

But the second day...we had....

Five in our family will celebrate birthdays while we are gone... so we ate and ate some more!

 (One had a hockey game...so he missed his party!)

It was the perfect Christmas Weekend!!
