Birthdays

We will be gone for my girls January birthdays so we celebrated before we left with Pedi's.

We had a wonderful lunch together!

It was a fun morning!!

Maybe they'll come visit this winter?

Wednesday Walks

This was the Last  Walk we had around Our Town!

The Family Gathering....

Since we won't be home for Christmas....We celebrated this past weekend...

The first night we had a fun 'Gift Exchange'

We ate lots....

We opened gifts...

We loved watching the youngest opening her "First Christmas" presents...

I got a picture of ALL the grands... overall they cooperated...hmmmm

We had a great time...with ALL of the family!!...

Getting Ready....

We were getting ready to head south.... 

I really wanted the Kayaks with us... 

Hubby wasn't too impressed....

Being the great man he is....he loaded them up!!

We packed the truck and headed east  to visit our children before we left!

We DO enjoy Alberta sunrises!! (and sunsets!!)

 First morning there...we took 'the beast' for a walk... 

We walked along the Sheep River... Hubby WON'T be taking any of this driftwood with us!!

Wednesday Walks

On a rainy morning...(which we have had quite a few of.)...we past the Elevators.
The white one above...we've heard will be torn down...and a replica built in it's spot... but remember things happen slowly in our town.

The Alberta Wheat Pool ... is now part of an Art Gallery...rumor has it it will be refurbished.
Here is a picture of them on a sunny summer day from the backside...

Actually...it is probably the front side as the railway tracks go by on this side:)

In the shop

Soon we are heading south...hubby decided to get a project ready to do while we are gone...

 Using two types of wood....  Jelutong and Afrormosia ...he made a "Chess Board"

 Cut out 'pieces' using the two types of wood.

Has his carving set ready... and all packed...

He will carve the men this winter!!

The Barn

On a drive this summer...

We past this old barn...

Looks like they have updated the roof...
