Tamale Festival

Down the road from Yuma...in the town of Somerton....

Main Street was Packed...
With people and over 40 Tamale Booths....
We wondered what a Tamale Festival was...
and it is Tamales...
If you like crowds...and Tamales you have it made!!!
It was a fun experience...even thought I don't like crowds...
and the Tamales...were ok:))

  1. What is that food on the plates. Is it sweet or what taste a noodle? Being a Canadian. never heard of it.

Looks like a peel back of corn on the cob by your picture. I know one would not eat that it looks like it.

  2. I have never eaten a tamale-everything else Mexican but not a tamale. Was each booth serving a different tamale or just a twist on the same...hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

  6. Looks like a fun time. I enjoy crowds more than tamales so I probably would have enjoyed the event too.

  7. Yum!!! My husband and I love tamales. There was a woman I worked with who made them to sell and I would buy a couple dozen of them for us, I froze them and would heat them up later.
