Cleopatra Hilll

On Cleopatra Hill..... there are buildings on the hillside...
The road to get there looks something like this...
The streets are narrow... the roads are curvy...and you have the Ghost Town of Jerome! It was a booming mining town in the late 1800's and early 1900's...but was deserted in 1953 and became the largest Ghost Town in America...

Jerome was a wonderful place to visit...

To be continued....

  1. what a pretty place, with a real, old world feel!! those homes sure are close to the road.....no set-back requirements back then!!

  2. Looks fascinating. That hill reminds me of the one outside Tucson.

  3. I've been lucky enough to have visited Jerome a number of times, but I didn't know the hill was called Cleopatra. I wonder why that name was chosen for a hill in Ariziona. A fascinating spot to visit.

  4. Oh, how I love ghost towns - we found one in Montana a couple of years ago that is preserved, not restored. It was fabulous!
