Skywatch Friday

Our southern holiday is ending....

It's been a beautiful time... we hate to leave...

We're just thankful we have been blessed with the privilege of having our little home here.

The other side of the fence

On the other side of our fence...

Stands what is left of a Saguaro...

There is no life left in it...but I love looking at it...

It is unique, has character...

Makes me think...

what will people say of me...when my life is gone....

Weekend Visit

It's so nice to have family visit!

We met at Shields Date Garden Cafe...

in Indio

It's wonderful to see the grandkids...

The food here is always delicious!!

Had breakfast under a lemon tree!!

It was a short...sweet visit!!!

My knitting basket...

Last summer...

I disposed of all my yarn...

It had been many years since I had the time to knit a project...

This past month I have started to replenish my yarn...

I found this easy pattern on the internet...
so I'm making them for all my girls...

I still have a couple more to do!!

Plus I have been crocheting ...

These pot scrubbers...

I had cut the material to make them about 5 years ago...

and finally one more to crochet and I should have all the netting used up!

Patio Sale..

Every fall and spring, the parks have patios sales....

When the snowbirds open up...they have 'treasures' they know longer want...

in the spring they have 'treasures' they know longer need...

I wasn't planning on buying anything...

I like having 'just what I need' in my small space...

but then I saw this...

mom had one of these...

it reminded me of her ...

and the years this was the only tree mom and dad put up

I thought....

then I bought

I cleaned it all up...I have the perfect spot in our trailer....

It's ready for when we finally

have Christmas in Yuma!

(now I just have to figure out where I'll store it:)
