Friday's Fence - sorta...

Well you don't intentionally put a Fence around the mountains...
So I guess it's more about the mountain than the fence...
Near Helena Mt.

Rock On

There is something so relaxing walking along a lakeshore ....
He can't resist collecting....
He will bag these.......take them home.....for what I am not sure....
next year I'll put them in the driveway...and he never misses them:)
We've been doing this for years!!
But like always ...times like these are priceless!!

On a walk to the beach we passed this Pink Canoe....

Okay...the Pink school bus
Who would of ever thought
A school bus could be turned into a Retro Dining Room?

Never had a chance to check out the food....
but was so impressed with the idea!

Montana Road Trip - Mountain Palace

Every year we race down south. We pass thru this area in Montana...
From the Freeway we can see a river below...
We decided to take a little trip ...at a slow pace and explore this area that we pass every year.
So we took the back road..
This area was called Mountain Palace

Weekend Reflection

In our journey through life...
our good times and bad...
if we can only remember God's plan for our lives...
He is writing our story and allows each day to prepare us for the end of the story...
all we have to do is trust in Him...and be grateful for all He gives us.

Farm Fresh Friday.... traveling plants

I'm not sure what you call them... traveling plants...
but they are cuttings from my Dad's plants...about 18 years ago.
My bleeding heart..a cutting from my Dad's garden
it has been taken from Alberta..then
to British Columbia
and back Alberta.
This spring it's looking full and strong.

This rhubarb....was taken by my daughter..from Dad's garden...
it has been planted and transplanted a few times.
We have enjoyed it for the past few years.
Soon I'll be looking for recipes to use my rhubarb..
If you have any please send them my way!

Bird Talk

I know there are worms here somewhere...
A taped up feeder...you'd think they could buy us a new one!
What are you starring at?

I guess I'll share...when did you yellow guys arrive?
I got the itch!
I know I'm cute!
How many kids did you say they had?
Sun bathing

Farm Fresh Friday - Heritage apron

Mom  always wore an apron.
I can not longer use her apron...it is so worn...
I don't think it can take much more laundering..

It had hand embroidery...that is beautiful!
The apron is made from flour sacks.
This year for my sisters birthdays...
I tried to re-create mom's apron
I'm not a fan of handwork...
so the embroidery is done with my machine...
My three sisters will have replica's of mom's apron..
Hopefully to pass onto their daughters.

Vintage Thingie Thursday...

I remember when mom and dad used this card table.
Sometimes mom would use it for extra place settings for dinners she would have.

I love the old picture....
We often us this table to work on puzzles.

Gazebo visitors

Our weather is finally warm...
we have been enjoying every moment we can out in the yard!
We love relaxing in our little Gazebo...
The past couple of years we had birds building their nest in the rafters.
As much as we love the birds in the trees...
They became very possessive of our gazebo.
So hubby put in boards to keep the birds from building their nests in the rafters.

Today as we were relaxing in our bird free gazebo....
I happened to notice....

No it's not a new light fixture...
We had a little visitor building his nest...
As interesting as he was to watch...
Tonight he's having to start his work all over again.
