Scripture and a Snapshot

"No Eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love Him.

Adjusting...

It's been an adjustment...leaving our yard and home and going into a condo.
Back home...it took us a day a week to do all the grass cutting, trimming, weeding...
Now I sit and watch it being done..
I don't miss the big yard...but I do miss having a yard....

My time seems to be taken up with visiting coffee shops...

Walking the trails...

And enjoying the views...

I know winter is around the corner...so it's hard to stay in and do much else!
And I still have lots of walks I want to take before the cold comes!!

Fall is here!

Fall is here and our temperatures are wonderful!
This weekend we enjoyed warm days in the high 20's C!
Saturday we enjoyed the day down at the river.
Edmonton has a beautiful river valley!!
Our oldest grandson was in a rowing event
It was a beautiful day to enjoy the race!
We had a great view from the foot bridge.
Sunday took us to Southern Alberta...
where we had time to relax and enjoy the fall colours!
I think fall is my favourite time of the year...
The sun still has some warmth...
the colours...
What is your favourite time of the year?

Another week wrapped up...

Well another full week over...where does the time go.
This morning I decided it was time for a morning walk...the weight room every morning just is not my thing... so I hit the pavement to get my dose of Exhaust!

The most annoying thing for me walking in the city...
Is having to stop walking!

We don't have to walk far to come to beautiful views of the River Valley.
This morning the sun was reflecting off the trees and with fog coming off the river..

It is a beautiful city and I'm looking forward to all that we have to explore!
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Roots

This has been a year of many changes. This spring Middler daughter moved to Southern Alberta, in the area where my grandparents farmed and my parents once lived. Mom and Dad lived in the town where my daughter lives for a few years. My oldest sister remembers living there and took us back to where they lived.
The old hardware building....This building was on the corner by the road where you crossed the Railway Tracks to go to mom and dads house (1940's) in Okotoks, Alberta

Mom and Dad's house...
I love imagining my parents living there...young and with two little girls...
A walk down town...took us to two buildings made into restaurants...
My sister recognized this one as the church they attended when they lived here.
 We had to eat here!!
Inside the 'church'
 Behind is the 'pulpit' area.
My sister and Middler...
Then we took a drive to where dad use to work...He worked at the Chinook Flour Mill.
It operated in the Mahon House ...
I would of never believed this beautiful house was a flour mill!
I loved walking the streets where mom and dad once lived...see the house they lived in...the place dad worked... I'm thankful that my sister was able to show me these places...
Is it just me...or do you connect with times past?

City Living

City life...what a change.
Our house sold this summer.
We had a number of options for our life, but the two that stood out was...
travel...
or
Hubby to take a contracted job for a year...
Well the job won out!
So here we are in the city, living downtown for the next year!
Hubby leaves for work...a 25 minute walk to his office building downtown.
I visit the weight room in our condo...
I know longer have this lane to walk...
But this is the scenery I have
when I go for my walks now..
I'm really missing these guys...
But we get more time with this girl...
There are days we wonder...where we would be if we were on the road...
But we're ready to embrace this 'season'...whatever it may bring!

A New Season

It's been weeks since I have done any blogging....
My life has changed...
No more sewing students....
 The spa room is empty...

The rooms are bare...

The hallway beckons to a new life...
 The van is ready....
A new life is about to begin....
Hopefully the chaos will end!

National Puppy Day

Miss Pepper…..she changed our life… But life wouldn’t be as full without her! She is a kind sweet puppy that always ‘try’s😳’ to please.
