High Level Bridge Walk

If you like, come with me on a walk across the High Level Bridge.
The day is warm...we still have the beauty of the fall...and if we wait we don't know how the weather can change.
On our way we'll take a detour to the Legislature Buildings.
Here there are a number of pools that children can wade in on a warm day.
I'm thinking in the next week, they will drain some of them.
We get to the High Level Bridge..If you look on top of the bridge..
On the south side of the river is the University of Alberta and the University Hospital.
In among the University is the Rutherford House. Home of the first Premier of Alberta.
It is now a museum and has a wonderful Tea House, I love to visit....

Oh yes...the stairs...
We can cross the river another way......
If we walk down these stairs we can cross below the LRT tracks to get to the Tea House...
(can you guess how many steps there are?)
We'll go that route to the Tea House...and see the quaint place...
The weather is getting cool....
it may snow...so we'll see maybe next week we'll go
Hope you'll come along!!
And we'll count the steps... to see who got the right amount!

Weekend wrap up...

Friday the moon was bright...
Firstborn was in a 24 hour run....
It started at 7:00 pm Friday...
And it ended at 7:00 pm Saturday...
 I love firstborn dearly...
but I don't get it....
 why...
when your looking forward to this???
Saturday we watched a grandson play football..

Did some city shopping at Costco...
sigh.... this is one aspect of the city I can live without...
shopping in those crowds...
Well that was our weekend in a nutshell...
and I'm on to another week!

Scripture and a Snapshot

"No Eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love Him.

Adjusting...

It's been an adjustment...leaving our yard and home and going into a condo.
Back home...it took us a day a week to do all the grass cutting, trimming, weeding...
Now I sit and watch it being done..
I don't miss the big yard...but I do miss having a yard....

My time seems to be taken up with visiting coffee shops...

Walking the trails...

And enjoying the views...

I know winter is around the corner...so it's hard to stay in and do much else!
And I still have lots of walks I want to take before the cold comes!!

Fall is here!

Fall is here and our temperatures are wonderful!
This weekend we enjoyed warm days in the high 20's C!
Saturday we enjoyed the day down at the river.
Edmonton has a beautiful river valley!!
Our oldest grandson was in a rowing event
It was a beautiful day to enjoy the race!
We had a great view from the foot bridge.
Sunday took us to Southern Alberta...
where we had time to relax and enjoy the fall colours!
I think fall is my favourite time of the year...
The sun still has some warmth...
the colours...
What is your favourite time of the year?

National Puppy Day

Miss Pepper…..she changed our life… But life wouldn’t be as full without her! She is a kind sweet puppy that always ‘try’s😳’ to please.
