Well hubby and I are not into Valentines...
At home he often buys me flowers and we may go out to eat...
but neither of us like the busyness of the restaurants on this day.

We thought Valentines was the perfect time to visit one...
Now you have electronics to place your order with....
They are still delivering with roller skates..
They don't leave the tray on your window..like they use to.
But we had a wonderful greasy meal...
reminiscing on the times we would visit the A & W
in his 1962 Pontiac 2 door hard top.

I love Sonic. We had one not too far from here for a year and they shut it down. I was so sad! Glad you had a nice night out. :)

ReplyDeleteThere used to be three drive-ins here, but they are all gone. The nearest Sonic is over the mountains and a 100 miles away. I remember honking when ready to order, and then the speaker ordering system was installed. None of the drive-ins delivered on roller-skates, however. The girls all wore the heavy change dispenser around their waists, and yes, the tray was placed on the window. Ah, the memories.
