Ending the week...

The morning was rainy....

We had two grand kiddos visiting...

A dreary sorta day....

but we found....

a table set by the fireplace ....to enjoy breakfast at....

A finally game of 5 in a row...

the boys were the champions...but we always knew that!

Crafty Shop Tools

What is that on my dining room table??

 Hmmm...Hubby's shop tools?

Okay...shop tools....fleece...and Hubby......

 Hmmmm....something he saw down south...and thought he could do....

 I'm sure these have been around for a few years....

but they were new to Hubby ...

Now he has his very own throw...made by himself....

Spring Work

Warm temperatures have embraced us...

Trees are beginning to bud...

 

This means the outside work begins.........................................

This year hubby is home to help with the spring yard work....

There's raking...to do...we still do it by hand... with good old rakes...

Hopefully we get the raking and flower beds ready...

It's Alberta and snow is coming Friday...(we still have two months of spring left... of course we'll get more snow!)

But we'll take all the warmth when it's here and we know eventually we'll have green and flowers....for a few months anyways!

Good Morning!

Its been awhile since I went for a morning walk with my camera. The snow, and cool (COLD) weather has made it hard to get up and get going....but this morning the birds songs were wonderful!

  The snow has melted...hopefully for the last time..

It was misty and the sky was overcast...but the sun was trying to shine.

There were lots of signs..that spring is finally here:

The ducks were happy in the ponds

This hare...literally sat and posed for a couple minutes for me...

He probably thought I couldn't see him...but I like to think he was posing..

When I got home...this duck was wondering in our yard...
I did have a look around to see if I could find a nest...
but haven't found one...would be so exciting to watch them this spring!

Yes it feels like spring is coming...

No matter how long the winter....

Spring follows! 

Odd Couple

I saw this couple wandering around in our yard.

It looked like they were looking for a place to nest.....

But the area had change...the once lush wetlands had disappeared.

It made me think of life...and how ............................ 

traditions....... family values.......... faith.............have changed over the years....

April Showers?

“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
   so are my ways higher than your ways

Time for a Change?

Over the past couple of weeks I have been thinking that my Blog needs a change. . .

Goat heads we caught before they became a problem!

When I started my blog..it was because we were travelling and some of our family thought a blog would be a good way to see what we were up to...that was over a year ago...and I am feeling a bit out of sorts with my blogging...

Life has been busy and circumstances have not allowed me to have a lot of time to blog...or visit blogs.

I have enjoyed my blog and even more I have enjoyed getting know many of you!

Once life slows down I hope to be around a little more often...

but I am also thinking of a new direction / focus for my blog. 

So we'll see where my blog goes from here...

and a lot of work!

Weaving Loom...

so what happens if one of those strings break?

Would love to do this...

It would be worth the finished projects!

Hmm Interesting...

I've heard of them...

But had never been in one before....

A sand storm...driving on the highway....

Not much difference to a snow storm...except the roads aren't slippery

And the sun is shining...out there behind the sand in the sky.
