Inspired Sunday

St. Louis Cathedral - New Orleans
The First church built on this site in 1718 - it is among the oldest in the USA
The present building dates to 1850.
It is one of the few Roman Catholic churches in the United States that fronts a major public square. This picture is taken of the church from Jackson Square.

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
    for his compassion's never fail.

 They are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23

  7. It is nice to see something inspired in New Orleans when all we hear about are the parties.

  8. What a striking church. It really demands your attentions for sure. I like it. There's a chance I might be in New Orleans in May and I'll have to see if I can get to this church...
    Love the verse you shared at the end.

  9. That's stunning. I bet the interior is amazing. Externally, it has an almost fairy-tale appearance.
