The First church built on this site in 1718 - it is among the oldest in the USA
The present building dates to 1850.
It is one of the few Roman Catholic churches in the United States that fronts a major public square. This picture is taken of the church from Jackson Square.

have you been in this church? it is just gorgeous. we have been to New Orleans 3 times i think now. 1st time just got a shot of the outside. 2nd time we got to go in. i loved it & was just speechless. so so mind-blowing. mind-boggling. ( :
