Bev -- being real here -- I think people that have lots of life going on -- don't need a blog.
ReplyDeleteIt's us peeps that are somewhat introverted and lacking in the social department -- require a blog to share with the outside world.
You have a fulfilling life -- if the blog is not needed, then dump it. It's a time suck for you -- but I would miss you. xo
Agree with Nancy. Introverted weirdos like she and I need blogs... LOL... Sorry, Nancy, but we are. Oh, and the CIA needs our daily posts to keep them busy.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos today, Bev!
A friendship of 33 years with granddaughters who are now friends is surely a treasure and an accomplishment! Like Nancy, I'm an introvert, but I've always kept a journal. Now, I use the blog to write and connect. There's ALWAYS something to write about!
ReplyDeleteWonderful to relive the zoo with the second generation!
ReplyDeleteOne of the things that sometimes helps when I am having a dry spell is to find a meme and participate in it. This way it gives you a theme to work with and this way you can post one a week or month or whenever the meme(s) are.
oh, i love the revisit w/ your longtime friend! so cool!
ReplyDeletei have such a backlog of photos, if i ever stopped blogging, i'd probably stop taking photos, too. so they keep me going.
Glad you had a beautiful day with a wonderful friend AND your grandchildren! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd what Nancy and Diane said above. I too am an introvert. I get a lot of 'stuff' out through writing. Thogh the CIA must be bored to tears with my posts! Lol
Wow, 11 days without logging on!
ReplyDeleteFor me, blogging is a perfect way for my family and friends back home to stay current this doesn't replace emails and phone calls but covers a lot and I enjoy the process of sharing with them in this fashion.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome is that about the zoo and your friend. I totally get you on the blogging part. I do post, but I don't seem to get over and visit others like I used to.
ReplyDeleteLife tends to get busy and the blog does go by the wayside. I slow down and then get back into the swing. I love the zoo and isn't amazing how quickly kids -- and their kids -- grow up!!!!! Nice 5. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteHey I understand the busyness - missed you. sandie
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is precious. I never seem to run out of things to blog about, which is sort of weird, since I never do anything special. That's an interesting thought, which could become a whole blog post!
ReplyDeletecurious - what's your normal time away from blogging? i love that you are keeping tabs on it all. enjoy your days. ( :
ReplyDeleteI spend about an hour to an hour and a half on Sunday afternoon writing and preparing the blog posts for the next five days and then schedule them to publish. That done, I can enjoy the week ahead and read other blogs.
ReplyDeleteMy blog is a mixture of memories from the past and present as well as a record of my craft projects. As long as it is still fun and people continue to visit and comment, I will continue to post.
Oh I know where your'e coming from with the lack of blogging. The trouble is sometimes I've just got nothing interesting to say!!! Blog when you feel like it - that's what I say :))
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you to spend time' with your good friend - sounds so lovely. Have a lovely weekend :))
