An Apple a Day. .

We have two apple trees in our backyard that blossomed beautifully this spring. . .
Here are the results of those blossoms. . .
This was the first year the trees where large enough to require a ladder for picking. . .

 They taste delicious...
Don' you just love growing your own fruit and vegetables?

What fruit and or vegetables do you grow in your garden?

  4. You must live in Eden with all the produce you get from your yard - veggies, raspberries, and now glorious apples. I would like to be your neighbor.

I have a great apple cake recipe if you would like it.

  6. I love the way apple trees look when they're full of ripe apples. I don't have any but my daughter has three in her yard. I'm not much of a gardener but we've had lots of raspberries from our bushes this year.

  7. The apples look delicious, what a blessing to be able to harvest so many scrumptious apples. I grew zucchini, potatoes, carrots, peas, yellow beans, tomatoes, hmmm what else, a "regular" garden... too bad my bf didn't water the garden more often, maybe I would have had a better harvest. Mind you now that I'm back in university I'd be pressed for time to preserve all the veggies. I hope to get some apples from a dear friend to make the BEST apple crisp I've ever had in my entire life! It's that good. :-)

Have a wonderful weekend! What are you going to make with your bountiful crop of apples? I can see pies, crisps, maybe some jelly in your future for some odd reason! lol

    Have a nice Sunday!

  9. How wonderful! You are so blessed! I hope to have an apple orchard up and going in another year. I lost my young apple trees due to drought this summer here in Texas. Can't wait to see what you cook with these! blessings,Kathleen
