Once Upon a Time..

this was some one's home.
I'm sure it was a beautiful home..

The Chicken coupe out back still stands...

This Homestead is beside a busy Secondary Highway
just down from where we lived.
I have passed it many times in the past 30 years...
this time we noticed pieces of wood missing...
I'm sure it won't be long...until it's totally gone!

  8. What a cute little home! They probably raised 10 kids in that place and everyone was happy and grateful! No t.v., no internet, no phone......just lots of love and happiness!

  10. I love those old farm structures that look like a brisk wind would knock them over. Someday I'll do a road trip where I do nothing but searchout interesting looking structures and photograph them while they're still there.

  11. What cool structures. So sad that it may fall apart soon. At least you got some good photos to preserve it that way.

  16. We saw so many old homesteads and 'falling-down' cabins and barns on our cross-country trip - it's sad to see them left neglected like that. And then I wonder.....what's the story?
