This was my high chair ...
It was painted blue when we got it from mom and dad about 17 years ago.
It was to late for our children to use...but all our grandchildren used it.
We had it stripped down and hubby re finished it.
The 'table' had to be replaced...hubby did a great job...it looks original...

ReplyDeleteA real vintage keeper. My sister has hers from when she was born 80 years ago,
ReplyDeleteInteresting how we grew up in a world of painted things, and now it's "natural wood." PS: not sure what the problem is, but Blogger would not let me post as a "comment"--only as a "reply."
DeleteHow wonderful that your parents still had it and that your grandchildren have been able to use it,that makes me all smiley!
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT!
Beautiful high chair. I have my mother's from the '20s, but it isn't nearly as elegant as yours. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful high chair. So what prompted the light blue paint job - did you have a blue high chair in your youth or did your mom get the urge to change things up a bit and she painted it?
ReplyDeletethat is so cool Flora...what memories have happened in that chair...
ReplyDeleteNow what memories could you write about that old chair? So full of love - sandie
