March 17th...

It was the Air Show....
And Green was glowing....
Our park is about 1 mile from the Airport...
At the back of the park...along the canal...
The view is pretty good...

Some tried out the balcony seats...
We had a fairly good view of the planes...
The Ice Cream truck...braved the canal and was rewarded by the spectators who had been sitting for 3 hours.
I admit...Air Shows are not something I really enjoy...
 I don't like flying....
So I can't imagine why anyone would want to fly a plane....
for an Air Show...
just for fun...
But some of the things those planes do is pretty spectacular!

  1. they really are something to see. i just hate to hear about the accidents that sometimes occur in these shows and tricky flight formations and vintage planes...

  3. Air shows are spectacular, I haven't been to one in ages. Thank you for sharing yours with us! I love the "balcony seats", now that's real redneck for ya! lol

    Have a wonderful week!

  4. Well, as a retired private pilot, one of the things that makes it real interesting is taking a two seater plane solo up to 12,500 feet above sea level (the max that is allowed) and looking around. It makes you feel extremely small, and God infinitely big. :-}

  5. I like air-shows (sadly, there aren't any in my area) because the pilots' precision is amazing.

My husband would have loved to be there - we went to an Air Show many, many years ago.

  9. You took some good photos of the day at the air show. Looks like it was a fun day. I usually go to the air show but I am always worried about accidents.
