The end of the week...

The week is over. It has been a very busy but enjoyable week. I find that after a busy week I look forward to a bit of calm...only to find that the calm brings a down feeling that wants the busyness back. As I think of this, I look back into my life and see that I have the most joy in my life when I give of myself to serve others. I may think I 'need' my own time...but find it gives little satisfaction.
A weekend thought....

"The happiness which brings enduring worth to life is not the superficial happiness that is dependent on circumstances. It is the happiness and contentment that fills the soul even in the midst of the most distressing circumstances and the most bitter environment. It is the kind of happiness that grins when things go wrong and smiles through the tears. The happiness for which our souls ache is one undisturbed by success or failure, one which will root deeply inside us and give inward relaxation, peace, and contentment, no matter what the surface problems may be. That kind of happiness stands in need of no outward stimulus.”    Billy Graham

  1. i think a lot of folks affected by the horrendous tornadoes and storms in the southern US could use this type of inner happiness and strength right now. :)

  2. Beautiful post Bev!
The same line of thought is sort of summed up in one of my favorite quotes - "Joy is not the absence of trouble but the presence of Christ!"
Hope you have a great weekend!
    Luv ya!

Miss Pepper…..she changed our life… But life wouldn’t be as full without her! She is a kind sweet puppy that always ‘try’s😳’ to please.
