Random Five Friday...

1. After hours of quilting... I did finish hand quilting my quilt...

2. This week was  the warmest week this summer...the weather man said...

3. In two weeks everything of ours will be moved from the city ...to our new home in the town we left a year ago.

4. This move is the 19th time I've had to pack and move in 41 years....I'm trying not to dread every box I pack..knowing I still have to unpack it and organize it ...again..and why do I need all this 'stuff' anyways???!!!

5. Last evening we walked across the High Level Bridge... we noticed how the days are getting shorter...

  1. Well, at least when you move you clear out stuff you no longer need...I haven't moved in 35 years, so imagine the stuff I have piled up.

  4. I've moved a 11 times times, and I agree that "stuff" tends to accumulate too quickly and is a pain to pack and unpack.

    Glad you are back "home"

The shorter days are obvious here, too. I welcome the cooler temperatures that come with it, but I dread the long winter ahead.

  8. I hope your move goes smoothly. My problem is all my books. When I move, I have more books than everything else combined. And they are not lightweight! Your photo is lovely.

  9. My goodness! 19 moves! I cannot even imagine......
I'm soon to be 65 and have lived here in this same house since I was 18. I only moved once in that length of time and that was because my house burned and we had to gut it and start over.
Will you still go south in the winter?
